I came after a friend recommended they make "the best eclairs in Paris"
He was right! The eclairs at De Neuveille are heavenly and simply make your mouth explode. If you're in the area or near a De Neuveille give them a try.
There's a lot of places you can go in Paris to get a decedent, fancy, and ornate eclair, but sometimes I just want the normal one that still delivers on the same quality without all the gold toppings. This place really accomplishes that. -

My wife and I spent the Christmas/New Years Holiday in Paris. After having a delicious meal at Les Philosophe, we were in the mood for desert. We noticed De Neuville and picked up multiple macaroons for a reasonable price. They were delicious! So good, we purchased more a few days later and brought them back to the states as family gifts. It is walking distance to Centre de Pompidou and Picasso Museum.

This is a chocolate shop that has some other kinds of candies and desserts, but mostly chocolate. It's fairly small but has a wide variety. The staff is helpful and speaks English. The wife had to stop here after we visited Musee Carnavalet. She had to try some French chocolate, but as it turned out she got macaroons. She said the raspberry was the best she ever had, but the passion fruit was bland. I have a feeling we will be back, if not to this one, then another.
